Why Hurtfew Abbey?

It’s a reference to one of my favorite books, Jonathan Strange & Mr. Norrel. I basically started this blog because in my day-to-day life as a Mom, wife, marketing executive, and contributor to the economy, I don’t meet a whole lot of folks who have read books like Jonathan Strange. Or who know that there has been more than one Green Lantern. Or who would understand why it’s important that George Lucas changed the scene in Star Wars so that Greedo shoots first. Or who loved BBC America not only for its Jane Austen series, but also for Doctor Who. You see my dilemma. You don’t meet a lot of folks who put Elizabeth Bennett from Pride & Prejudice on the same pedestal as Wonder Woman. I’m fortunate to know a few, but they live too far away to be useful to me.
